What does it mean to find shelter—in art, in space, in spirit—when nothing feels permanent? Join us for No Fixed Address, an immersive installation by acclaimed Cape Cod artist Jackie Reeves, on view in the Great Hall and Vault Galleries this summer from Jul 26-Sep 6. Blurring the line between architectural study and emotional memory, Reeves transforms humble materials—cardboard, string, foam board, and upcycled domestic remnants—into fragile, temporary structures that speak volumes. Inspired by early exposure to architectural drafting and a lifelong fascination with the moment where a sketch becomes a structure, Reeves builds not from blueprints but from improvisation. Her constructions echo the impermanence of our homes, our hopes, and our creative processes. Each form is tenuous, bound by thread, balance, and imagination—provisional sanctuaries in a world that often shifts beneath us. While No Fixed Address is not a literal commentary on the housing crisis, its echoes are unmistakable. These works reflect the emotional architecture of instability: the resilience it takes to repurpose, rebuild, and reimagine our lives. Visitors will find not only art but interactive spaces to reflect, respond, and co-create. This exhibition is part of a larger summer showcase exploring place, possibility, and precariousness, including solo shows, Gimme Shelter by Dawn McKenzie in the Sky Light Gallery, and Collage & Variations by Hugo Rizzoli in the Saben Board Room Gallery.
